KUALA LUMPUR: All the fuss over Canadian teen pop-rock star Avril Lavigne's concert proved com- pletely unfounded as she belted out a measured performance at Stadium Merdeka last night.

It was a pop concert all right, with no element of a rowdy punk-rock performance as feared by some quarters who had objected to her coming here.

PAS Youth leaders had criticised the timing of the concert, claiming that the culture Lavigne promoted was not appropriate especially so close to Merdeka Day.

But all that steam was lost in the night as Lavigne entertained the estimated 15,000 crowd with songs from her three albums, bursting into life in typical fashion for several hit numbers.

There were many who stood in raincoats to watch the star do her thing. Among those who turned up was Kelana Jaya MP Loh Gwo Burne who is from Parti Keadilan Rakyat.

Avril Lavigne was dressed casually in jeans and a black T-shirt as she took to the stage with her first song Girlfriend, and only had one costume change, into a grey T-shirt, in the one-and-a-half-hour show.

The crowd remained excited throughout, singing and dancing along to Lavigne's entire 17-song set.

Earlier, about 2,000 flyers were distributed in protest of the performance as the star's The Best Damn Tour concert at Stadium Merdeka yesterday.

The flyers were distributed to Muslim youths who were about to enter the stadium for the concert that started at 8pm.

State Pas Youth chief Kama- rulzaman Mohammad said the flyers were to explain the concept of entertainment in Islam.

Trash Talk Eye Scream!

Yes, it was another day for trash talk. Everything happened within this 30 minutes was really really ROFL. It revolved around Steve, Mun Wah, Ming Fei, Wan Ning, Mun Chun, Andy, Eunice, Sean How, Boon Seong, Jun Yip and me, and the topic is.........?? Profanity and sex. Nothing more.

We(1/3 of the class) had ice-creams for our half hour break. I bet someone could finish an ice-cream with just 3 bites eh? This is what Mun Wah did just now. This is how he KO-ed eunice in an ice-cream eating competition.

Olympic is over, overall China OWNS in its own country(obviously right). RTM2 only showed us 1.30 hours of the closing ceremony. Suck.

人妖谈之乱伦

Today was VERY fun. Me and my friends talked trash during ME + HE class. It's all about 人妖，3P + 4P and many more trash (related to sex). The people circulating around the trash talk were STEVE (the main trash talker), Mun Wah, Joe King, Wan Ning, Eunice, Sean How, Simon, Jun Yip and me. The story is about Mun Wah willing to pay money to sleep with steve for 1 night, Mun Wah wants cosplay. So i suggested 3P, which include me. Then Mun Wah starts to talk about Eunice being , starts to talk about simon's hairy chest, steve starts to talk about wan ning being beard-ed guy. Everything was funny lah, we laughed damn hard.

Next, I want to cheong sui government for being too stupid to understand POP music. Avril Lavigne's music not suitable for Hari Kemerdekaan? Nahh o0o, u don held this concert u see how u gonna die the next morning. Without this concert, do u think they still want to go for ur stupid barney-2020-noobish-malaysia-boleh event? Brainless government, u don like pop songs u can go to hell la, coz you have no life at all.
